EPS: Scabies Consultation (Whānau)

Service Description

Funded pharmacist consultation for children under 14 and their whānau with suspected scabies, including permethrin lotion for the whole household (scabies spreads easily within families, so everyone is treated together). Eligibility: households with at least one child under 14. Cost: one consultation fee up to $20 per family (max $5 with a Community Services Card). $5 medicine co-payment per person aged 14-64; free for under-14s and over-65s. Part of the Extended Pharmacy Services (EPS) scheme, in effect since 2 June 2026.
