Service Description

Funded pharmacist consultation for children under 14 and their whānau with head lice, including dimethicone lotion and a head lice comb. Eligibility: households with at least one child under 14. Cost: one consultation fee up to $20 per family (max $5 with a Community Services Card). $5 medicine co-payment per person aged 14-64; free for under-14s and over-65s. Part of the Extended Pharmacy Services (EPS) scheme, in effect since 2 June 2026.
